Latest Learning 2025-2026
12.09.25 - Welcome Back to School!
This week, the children in Rainbow 1 and 2 have been busy exploring their new environments and settling back into school life after the long summer break. They have enjoyed discovering the different areas of their classrooms, getting to know new friends, and building confidence with daily routines.
We are so proud of how quickly they are adapting, showing curiosity, independence, and a growing sense of belonging in their new learning spaces. It’s been a wonderful start, and we’re excited to see how they continue to grow and flourish in the weeks ahead!
Latest Learning 2024-2025!
13.12.24 - Regulation!
Why is regulation time important?
Regulation time enables children to adjust to new situations, reflect on and adapt their behaviours, focus their attention, remember instructions, and plan how to approach tasks successfully. A lot of children use the den to regulate their emotions. Regulation time can look different for every child. Some children like to draw, some like to complete puzzles, do planks, have bounce time and much more. School is a busy place with lots of demands and expectations. Sometimes we need a few minutes to calm our minds to get ready to go back into our learning and be successful.
06.12.24 - The Den!
This week in social understanding and friendship group we designed and began to colour our friendship posters along with talking about healthy and unhealthy friendships. The children identified that healthy friendships are when people are kind and care about each. They also said unhealthy friendships are where someone isn't kind and doesn't listen to you. We then went on to read different scenarios and decide if they were healthy or not healthy.
