Putting down strong roots for success

We are celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 7th March! Children are invited to come to school dressed up as their favourite book character if they wish to do so. Anything you can use at home is great and there is no expectation to buy a costume.

A warm welcome from Bankside Primary School and Children’s Centre!

My name is Vicky Broughton and I am the headteacher of this wonderful school. Bankside Primary School is a warm and welcoming school that prides itself on being at the heart of the community we serve. Our inclusive ethos is based on  developing positive relationships with  all of our families in order to help all our pupils feel safe, happy and flourish whilst at school.

Our relationships with families start through our Children’s Centre which has a wealth of expertise in supporting families facing challenges. As a school we are proud of the way we work with families and enable them, through the Early Years  and beyond, to give their children the best possible start to their educational journey.

At Bankside we have high expectations for everyone. Pupils, staff and the wider community focus on giving their Bankside Best so that we can all be successful and proud of our Bankside school community. Our school aims to Put down strong roots for success, our core purpose is for our pupils to make excellent progress throughout their Bankside journey and to leave at the end of KS2 with a strong platform on which to build upon in the next chapter of their education.

We hope that our website gives you a window in to our amazing school and shows you all of the incredible learning that takes place here. If you would like to find out more information or arrange a visit to see us in action, then please contact the school office who will be happy to assist you.

Best wishes,

Vicky Broughton
