Seasonal Flu vaccine offer – Nursery to Year 6
The seasonal flu vaccine is part of a national programme to protect children, their families and communities against serious complications of influenza, reduce the spread of the virus and help protect vulnerable people. For more information, including possible side effects please visit: Flu vaccine - NHS
The 2025/26 National Influenza Programme eligibility includes children who will be 2 or 3 years old on 31st August 2025. You can access this at your GP practice, or we can offer it in Nursery if your child attends a School Nursery. Please note, that if your child does not attend on the day we are visiting below, you will need to book an appointment with your GP.
How to consent: We are coming to your child’s school on 02/10/2025, please ensure that you have submitted a form even if you do not consent, no later than 15:00 hours, 7 days prior to the session.
School Code: EE107901
Does the nasal spray contain porcine?
Yes, but it is a very purified version which is barely detectable and because it is for medical purposes, it has been deemed permissible for use by the British Fatwa Council. We can offer an injectable vaccine alternative that DOES NOT contain porcine. This vaccine is only administered in those that require it for medical or cultural purposes. Only nasal vaccines are administered in primary schools, we will advise how to book a clinic appointment after the school session.
After submitting consent, if your child attends the GP for the vaccination, you change your mind or if there are any health changes, you MUST contact us on the number above. (Please note that GP practices do not routinely offer Flu vaccinations to healthy children)
Providing you enter a correct email address, you will receive email confirmation when your child has received their vaccination, including information and advice about common side effects your child may experience.
