11.09.26 - Welcome Back to School!

 

It has been lovely to see Year 3 settling in so well at the start of term. The children are beginning to feel confident in their new routines, and they are showing a growing understanding of expectations across the classroom and school.

We have spent time talking about and practising the Bankside golden rules, and the children are doing a great job of following them in lessons, playtimes and around school. This has helped to create a calm, friendly start to the year, where everyone can learn and enjoy being together.

There has also been lots of excitement about our new lessons and activities. One of the highlights so far has been learning ukeleles! The children have approached this with enthusiasm and curiosity, and it has been wonderful to hear them trying something new.

We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead together.

 

 

 

Latest Learning 2025-2026

19.06.26 - Ancient Greece!

This week children have enjoyed showing their creative side! They used clay to make their very own Greek pots. The end results are very impressive indeed!

22.05.26 - Maths!

Wednesday afternoon's in green base is all about reinforcing calculation skills. This week we were doing subtraction.  The children independently select a group of questions to answer, they also get their own equipment if they want to use it and then have a great time showing off their skills. 

24.04.25 - I-Pads!

Some of the children in Green Base have been using the iPads to improve their reading skills. They independently access the initial code app and play the games to support their growing skills. 

01.04.26 - Art!

Green base have finished this half term by doing an art project investigating and replicating Tinga Tinga art. They have looked at skills such as drawing silhouettes, washing paint to create a background and then designing and creating their own pictures ready for a parents art gallery in the new term! Aren't they wonderful!
